Another school shooting happened Monday. In Ohio at Chardon High School a teenage boy fired ten shots “randomly” into a group of classmates. Three of those wounded have died.

I can almost hear our Lord groan; as once again the enemy has unleashed his destruction upon some of our youth.

The courts and law officials will sort thru the legal and law side of what happened. Three families are making funeral arrangements and will live the rest of their lives with an emptiness in their homes.

As we look at the lost innocence of the shooter, we are left wondering, “What happened?”

Again I am acutely aware that every day is a gift from God and we do not need to waste it.

At best, life can be short. Eternity is sure. The way to be ready for eternity is to have a personal relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Let’s be praying for all those affected by this tragedy and for our Nation. Heavy stuff.

The House of Prayer Senior Ministry, also called Keenagers, provides a network for seniors who are homebound or have special needs. We recognize their years of contributions to the life of the church and seek to channel their talents and vitality into avenues in which they can remain productive and active.

Nancy Hutchinson - Elijah's Closet Coordinator

Elijah’s Closet is a program staffed by members of the House of Prayer. It is located in the Camp Building behind the Church and is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The Closet provides food and clothing for people in the community.
