Vacation Bible School
VBS is the second week in June from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
We welcome all children in the community ages 2 years to teenage.
Classes for 1st grade to 6th grade rotate through centers consisting of Bible story, newspaper and Bible games. Crafts are always a favorite and there is something of interest for each group from 2 years to 6th graders. Teens are 7th grade and up and are taught by our Youth Pastor who keeps them thinking and moving throughout the week.
Our goal and purpose of VBS is to teach children about Jesus and also to have fun. Many children come and do not know the Lord. This is our opportunity to share God’s wonderful plan of Salvation to all children who attend.
House of Prayer Children’s Choir
We have two children’s choirs at House of Prayer.
The first is the Little Choir and includes children ages 2 years through Kindergarten.
The second is the Junior Choir for children 1st grade through 8th grade.
Our Children’s Choirs are busy in the Fall of the year practicing for our Christmas play held on the first Sunday night in December. The Little Choir usually sings about four songs and the Junior Choir sings and acts out a play. We try to choose a different play each year that demonstrates God’s love for His children. Practices begin in September at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings during Church service.
Our kids always do a great job and learn their parts well. We have an abundance of talent here at House of Prayer.
Our goal and purpose in having Children’s Choirs is to teach the kids about Jesus and about how awesome it is to sing for the Lord.
Family Experience
FX is where kids and parents learn together about God’s Big Ideas! It is a weekly, 60-minute, fun, interactive, multi-media shared experience designed for families. FX meets on the main stage in the Family Life Center. Look for the signs and they will lead you to the Clubhouse!
